Polystyrene (PS) is a lightweight, rigid, and versatile thermoplastic polymer made from the polymerization of styrene, a liquid hydrocarbon. Polystyrene comes in various forms, including solid plastic, foam, and expanded polystyrene (EPS), which is commonly known as Styrofoam.
